Industry Leaders Join Falk Advisory Board

WNBA/Real Estate Executive Suzanne Abair and Esports and Gaming Education Leader Arnold Hur Join Board of “Who’s Who” in Sport Industry

The David B. Falk College of Sport at Syracuse University has announced the appointment of two new members to the Falk College of Sport Advisory Board. The Advisory Board is an esteemed group of professionals who are aligned with the strategic focus and academic mission of the College, including sport and sport-adjacent industries, health and wellness, business, or related sectors. They champion the college to prospective supporters, students, business colleagues, and the community. Board members serve as informed ambassadors, offering strategic guidance on philanthropy, alumni engagement, industry connections, and communications. They foster meaningful connections with students, support their development, and provide leadership through both financial contributions and active involvement to advance the College's strategic priorities in Esports, Exercise Science, Nutrition, Sport Analytics, and Sport Management.

The new members are Suzanne Abair and Arnold Hur.

“Suzanne and Arnold have demonstrated a strong commitment to Falk College, especially its students,” says Jeremy Jordan, Dean of Falk College of Sport. “Suzanne’s broad advocacy and leadership across women’s sports, along with Arnold’s leadership in esports, reflect key areas of focus for Falk College. They are incredible additions to our existing roster of all-star advisory board members.”

Suzanne Abair

Suzanne Abair is a co-owner and CEO of WNBA’s Atlanta Dream, a professional women’s basketball team based in Atlanta, Georgia, where she oversees day-to-day operations. She also serves as President and Chief Operating Officer for Northland, a real estate private equity firm with $8 billion of assets under management, including more than 26,000 residential units. She joined the company in 2004 and served as Northland's General Counsel for 12 years before becoming COO in 2016, and President in 2021.

Suzanne earned a bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College and a juris doctor from SUNY Buffalo School of Law. She currently serves on the National Advisory Board of Dream Big!, a non-profit organization that seeks to empower girls and young women through sports and physical activities.

Arnold Hur

Arnold Hur is CEO of Gen.G, a global esports and gaming education organization. Based in Los Angeles, California; Seoul, South Korea; and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Gen.G owns and operates top esports teams globally as well as the largest gaming academy in the world, Gen.G Global Academy the largest academy and full-time gaming career focused high school. Before joining Gen.G, Arnold was president of Memebox, one of Korea’s most successful startup companies, where he helped grow the company from Series A to Series C, raising over $160 million.

Prior to Memebox, he worked on product and strategy at Google, management consulting at Boston Consulting Group, and investment banking with Goldman Sachs.

Hur earned his bachelor’s degree from Boston College.
