Nutrition Science and Dietetics
Students within the Nutrition Science M.A. program complete at least 1,000 hours of supervised practice within a dietetic internship in order to take the RDN credentialing exam.
The Didactic Program in Dietetics at Syracuse University is accredited by the Accreditation Council of Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Students complete a dietetic internship and Nutrition Science M.A. degree in order to take the credentialing exam to receive the R.D.N. credential. Internship sites can include hospitals, community centers, long-term care facilities, dialysis and ambulatory care units, and food service organizations.

Program Details
Sport Management
Complete a 12-credit Senior Capstone to gain valuable hands-on experience in the sport industry. The Senior Capstone is the culmination of your academic experience. The planning process begins during a student’s freshman year. The process concludes with the full-semester experience with a specific sport entity typically in a location outside of Syracuse. In the Capstone experience, you’ll work with a sport-related organization for a minimum of 540 hours over the course of one semester, gaining experience in areas such as sales, marketing, finance, event management, administration, communication, law, etc. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a variety of areas under the supervision of qualified sport industry practitioners and executives.
