Dear Friends,

When I think about impact, three things immediately come to mind: tangible outcomes, strategic shift, and lasting change. The last six months at Falk College of Sport have been defined by all three.

As we've reimagined Falk College, our primary focus has remained constant: elevating the student experience.

In the first half of the academic year, we shifted from a “Student Services” model to a “Student Success” model to elevate and expand upon three core areas:

  1. Experiential learning
  2. Wellness and support programming
  3. Student leadership and engagement

We’ve launched faculty searches to expand our roster with diverse expertise to complement our existing stellar, knowledgeable thought leaders. We’ve expanded our immersion trip offerings, including a new trip to Las Vegas, which is the result of building relationships with industry partners who are eager to collaborate with our college. We are finalizing new academic offerings and reinvigorating our curricula to further raise the bar on the educational experience of our students. This semester, the Marley Education Center officially opened its doors. The space builds on the momentum of our growing gaming and esports culture, providing a dedicated space to showcase our varsity teams in a way no other campus does. I certainly could go on.

People regularly ask me how they can get involved with what we're doing here at Falk College. There is excitement, intrigue, and engagement with the work we do. As we continue to grow, our needs will evolve. But one thing will never change: Falk College of Sport will always keep students as our top priority.

Two opportunities immediately come to mind:

  • Support experiential learning. Our Experiential Learning Fund directly expands the opportunities we can offer our students—funding additional immersion trips, conference participation, and capstone or internship experiences that prepare them for success. I invite you to consider investing in this work and helping us broaden what’s possible for our students. If another area of Falk College better reflects your philanthropic priorities, make a gift to that area instead. Regardless of what area you choose to support, your generosity will make a direct impact on our students’ experience.
  • Explore partnership opportunities. Building relationships with corporate and industry partners has long been core to Falk College, but we've become more intentional and deliberate about how those partnerships serve our students. Regardless of program, our partners are helping students gain the experiential learning opportunities and professional connections they need now and throughout their careers. You can learn more about industry partnership opportunities on our website. The best way to start a conversation with Falk College about these opportunities is to complete the partner inquiry form.

The impact we can have on our students' lives and educational experience as a collective community is immense.

In closing, our February 2026 newsletter showcases how Falk College faculty, staff, students, alumni, and Advisory Board members are making lasting impact in our communities, in the sport industry, and beyond.
