Margie Chetney

Biography

Margie Chetney joined the Department of Sport Management in 2013 as an Office Coordinator before being promoted to Administrative Assistant in 2018. She works closely with students and faculty on classes and scheduling, manages department calendars and events, serves as editor of the SPM newsletter and handles social media and news for the department. Chetney, who earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Print Journalism with a minor in Sport Studies from Ithaca College, previously worked as a sports copy editor and assistant news editor at The Post-Standard newspaper in Syracuse for 14 years.
