Thought Leadership

Working across disciplines, we connect students to innovators across the full sport ecosystem to spark ideas and set new standards. Join our team of thought leaders who champion a world in which the power of sport unites and inspires us all.

Our all-star lineup of industry leaders includes Hall of Fame basketball coach and Adjunct Professor Jim Boeheim, who’s teaching a class on leadership; NBA Director of Data Strategy and Analytics Drina Domic, a sport management alumna who’s teaching a class on basketball business analytics; and Syracuse University alumnus Nick Monzi, the CEO and Co-Founder at Learn Fresh who’s teaching a class on innovative sport ventures.

Global esports and gaming organization Gen.G held a two-day Campus Takeover to highlight career opportunities in the esports industry; celebrated chef and former Syracuse University football star Derrell Smith demonstrated his award-winning meatball recipe for the Joan Christy Lecture Series; and Women Leaders in Sports CEO Patti Phillips met with students for a networking and professional development event.

We’ll coordinate with our campus partners to host larger events for the entire campus community and greater Syracuse community. The inaugural NIL Summit brought Syracuse University student-athletes together with corporate brands for networking, education, and NIL development, while the All-Star Food Fest before a Syracuse women’s basketball game at the JMA Wireless Dome provided an opportunity for children to experience international culture through food.
