I had the amazing opportunity to complete my Spring 2026 Senior Capstone with Fans First Entertainment (Savannah Bananas) as a Fan Experience and Event Operations intern in Savannah, GA. While my internship was based in Savannah, I spent the majority of my Capstone traveling across the country with the six Banana Ball teams.

I was lucky to see both the offseason and in season for Banana Ball. During the offseason, I spent my time in the office, where I learned how to be Fans First. Everyone knows Banana Ball for the shows they put on, so being able to see and be a part of the efforts and behind the scenes leading up to the first weekend was incredible.

Before I knew it, we were on the road to kick off the 2026 Banana Ball World Tour as part of the Banana Ball Championship League (BBCL). During the season, my roles consisted of running Banana Ball Backstage, Gate Operations and Fan Services. I had a mixture of responsibilities to get hands-on experience in being a leader. I loved being able to see the dynamic in the sub-departments of Ticket Sales.

One of my favorite parts about my Capstone was the opportunity to travel around the country, including Tallahassee, Little Rock, San Diego, Anaheim, Chapel Hill, Amarillo, and Richmond. I saw so many cities I have never been to and checked off so many ballpark stadiums. Not only that, I was able to go to Disneyland for Bananas Day!

When my Capstone ended in May, I was fortunate to be offered an extension through the rest of the season. I am excited to stay with this organization and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
